Shubat Transportation Company
Shubat Transportation Company was established by Charles Shubat in 1921. The company's first customers were iron ore miners needing transportation to and from the mines they worked in. Around the same time, Carl Wickman and Andy "Bus Andy" Anderson established Mesaba Transportation Company, which would later become Greyhound Lines. Both companies created buses by chopping the frame of a vehicle and extending it to accomodate more passengers.
Throughout the years, Shubat Transportation Company expanded to providing school bus transportation for the Hibbing School District. Shubat also operates the Hibbing City Transit buses.
Shubat's fleet of Deluxe Motorcoaches can be seen traveling across Minnesota and the entire United States. With modern ammenities, including DVD players and Wi-Fi Internet access, Shubat Transportation continues to be a leader in providing quality transportation and travel experiences.
